ABOUT THE SHOP

About Us

Bending the Trend was founded Fadwa a mother of three with a love for fashion and dressing modestly.

My journey began when I started wearing the hijab in 2017 and realised there weren’t many options for modest wear, stylish and affordable clothing. I wanted to create a brand where women could find fashionable pieces that allowed them to feel confident, comfortable and beautifully covered without spending a fortune.

The name Bending The Trend came from the idea of bending the rules of current fashion trends and making them more modest and hijabi-friendly.

What began in a small room inside my home has grown into so much more. I started by selling clothing from home before opening a small pop-up store in the middle of Broadmeadows Central. From there, we moved into a larger pop-up space, continued renewing our lease and eventually created the Bending the Trend store our customers know and love today.

Located inside Broadmeadows Central in Melbourne, we offer a wide range of modest clothing and premium hijabs for women who want to feel stylish while staying true to themselves.

We are passionate about making modest fashion more accessible and affordable. We bring in new stock every week and are always searching for beautiful, trend-inspired pieces that can be styled modestly and worn with confidence.

Bending the Trend is more than just a fashion store it is a brand created to help women feel confident, stylish and empowered in what they wear.

Thank you for supporting my journey and allowing Bending the Trend to continue growing from a small room in my home into the brand it is today.

With love,

Fadwa

Founder of Bending the Trend
